It only took 54 years, but the Historical Society of St. Marys and Benzinger Township is finally operating out of a location owned by the organization.
Construction on the building began last year, the society's collection was moved to the new building earlier this year, and the society officially reopened on Sunday afternoon with a special open house from 1-4 p.m. During that time, members of the community were invited to come tour the new facility, which is located along Erie Avenue, and see what all it has to offer.
