St. Marys man sentenced in child pornography case

July 28, 2014

RIDGWAY – A St. Marys man was sentenced Monday for charges involving over 311 images of child pornography found on his computer.
Donald Henry Blessel, 36, was sentenced to nine to 24 months, less one day, of incarceration in Elk County Prison and three years of probation for the felony offenses of sexual abuse of children and possession of child pornography, both to which he pleaded guilty on March 14. He maintains the possibility of work release as the sexual offender assessment determined that he isn't a sexually violent predator and there was no identifiable victim in this case.
