The upcoming Storytime in the Park offers the best of both worlds for families who enjoy reading and the outdoors.
Dickinson Center, Inc. (DCI) is sponsoring the event taking place Friday, June 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Benzinger Park in St. Marys. In case of inclement weather a rain date is set for June 13.
"Our goal is to help promote literacy and bring attention to all four areas of early learning development in kids in the area," said Nicky Cashmer, DCI Parents as Teachers (PAT) Educator and event coordinator.
All families residing in Elk County with children from birth up to kindergarten age are invited to attend the event which is free of charge with no advanced registration required. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
