Summer brings school repair projects

June 7, 2014

This summer will see numerous projects within several buildings in the St. Marys Area School District.
At the high school a new fire alarm system will be installed. On May 30 five bids were reviewed for the project ranging in cost from $115,500 to $158,000. The lowest bid was submitted by Hallstrom-Clark Electric Inc. of DuBois. KTH Architects out of DuBois is reviewing the bid and will provide the contractor with the notice to proceed.
Work at the South St. Marys Street Elementary School (SSMSE) Kelly Gym began on June 2. To date wall padding, lights, and the old ceiling have been removed.
