Supervisors approve soccer field parking lot contract

February 7, 2012

In a 2-1 vote, the Fox Township Supervisors approved a five-year agreement with Elco Sintered Alloys Co. Inc. to construct a parking lot on their property to support the Sinterfire soccer field, located in the Fox Twp. Industrial Park.
"I can't see spending money on land we don't own," said Supervisor Dave Mattiuz, who cast the opposing vote. "Why can't we spend that money and put in more fields at the park?"
During the supervisors' Tuesday evening meeting, Mattiuz added that he has heard nothing but complaints about the Sinterfire field, specifically that there are large amounts of stones in the field.
