Susan M. Beck

Susan Beck, 64, of 276 West Creek Rd., died unexpectedly Monday, Oct. 18, 2010 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
She was born Oct. 13, 1946, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Edward and Matilda Lecker Gerg.
On April 27, 1968, in St. Mary's Church, she married Floyd R. Beck, who survives.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1964. She was a former employee of Contact Technologies, Hour Glass Cleaners and Goodwill. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, was an avid camper, enjoyed playing cards and especially enjoyed being with her family. She was also an organ donor.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Melissa Sharrow and her husband, Joseph, of St. Marys; three sons, William E. Beck and his wife, Kimberly Cherry of St. Marys, Floyd E. Beck and his wife, Brenda, of St. Marys, Anthony J. Beck and his fiancee, Crystal, of Lake Wylie, S.C.; nine grandchildren, Ryan Sharrow, Matthew Sharrow, Hannah Sharrow, Crystal Beck, Tiffany Beck, Billy Beck, Tonya Gustafson, Amanda Cavalline and Dustan Werneth and his wife, Brenda; three great-grandchildren, Eric Gustafson, Evan Gustafson and Alexa Uhl; a sister, Alice Krieg and her husband, Richard, of St. Marys; and two sisters-in-law, Shirley Gerg and Mary Gerg, both of St. Marys.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin Gerg and Richard Gerg.
A Mass of Christian Burial for the late Susan M. Beck will be celebrated in St. Mary's Catholic Church on Thursday at noon, with the Rev. Alfred Patterson, OSB, as celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home, Center Street, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
