Terms of office may be extended

December 19, 2013

A new proposed ordinance would amend the city code to establish the terms of office for the Recreation Board to be five years. This would be in line with all of the city boards who also have five-year terms.
In a 5-2 vote council approved only the publication of the ordinance. Mayor Sally Geyer and Councilman Dick Dornisch voted in opposition of the ordinance. Dornisch stated he is in favor of term limits on council, the mayor and all boards.
