Theresa A. Gerber

Theresa A. Gerber, 83, of 315 Mill Street, Daguscahonda, died Friday, June 15, 2011 at Elk Regional Health Center following a brief illness.
She was born May 18, 1928, in Daguscahonda, daughter of the late Frank and Ellen Ribeck Supon. On September 4, 1948, in the St. Benedict's Church in Daguscahonda, she married Robert J. Gerber, who preceded her in death on July 28, 1986.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Ridgway High School. She was a former employee of Quality Components and the Sears store in St. Marys.
She was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church, a former member of St. Benedict's Church, and she enjoyed going shopping with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Robin J. Gerber and his wife Rita of Kersey, and Gary A. Gerber and his wife Sandy of Ridgway; seven grandchildren, Gary, Eric, Curt, Zack, Adam, Amy, and Ellen; five great-grandchildren, Jake, Hayden, Lily, Josie, and Lydia; and two sisters, Mary Ehrensberger of St. Marys and Betty Gralak of Daguscahonda.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Bankovic, Katherine Ginther, and Alice Metrovich; and by two brothers, Frank Supon and Max Supon.
Family and friends of Theresa A. Gerber are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial that will be held in St. Leo's Church in Ridgway on Monday at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Brian Vossler, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.

The Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
