Theresa L. Agosti
Theresa L. Agosti, 93, of Pine Avenue, Force, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Christ the King Manor, DuBois, following an illness over the past year.She was born Oct. 12, 1917 in Force, daughter of the late Charles and Josephine (Andresak) Michuck. On Feb. 3, 1940, she married George A. Agosti, who preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1972.She lived all her life in Force. At age 16, she graduated as the Valedictorian of Weedville High School, Class of 1933, and was recognized for perfect attendance. She worked at Keystone Carbon and retired from Stackpole Carbon. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, where she enjoyed volunteering her time for many years. She was awarded a plaque from the Voters Hall of Fame for voting in every election. She was an avid fan of Penn State football, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates. She enjoyed bingo, an occasional trip to a casino and spending time with her family and friends.She is survived by four children, Kenneth Agosti and his wife Carol of Jeanette; Enrico “Ricky” Agosti and his wife Jozefina of Indiana; Nancee and her husband Michael Martin of St. Marys; and Donna and her husband Larry Foster of Brockway; a sister, Louise Bauer of St. Marys; seven grandchildren, Melissa and her husband Matthew Nicklas, Mallory Martin, Kristen and her husband Jason Rigone, Bryan Agosti, Michael Foster and his fiancé Melinda Mattivi, Andrea Foster and Samantha Foster; two step-grandchildren, Erika and Natalia Dragunova; eight great-grandchildren, Rylee and Mason Nicklas, Nicholas, Emma and Alexander Rigone, Maddox and Monroe Dorward and Owen Agosti; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three sisters, Helen Agosti, Martha Ciami and Mary Beltly; two brothers, Joseph and Sonny Michuck; and a granddaughter, grandson and two great-grandsons at birth.A Mass of Christian Burial for Theresa L. Agosti will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, with Father Thomas Tyler officiating. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Church Cemetery in Force. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home in Penfield. The family suggests donations to St. Joseph Church.
