St. Marys Area School District's new superintendent Dr. G. Brian Toth is visiting town this week making his rounds and familiarizing himself with the district's personnel, staff and buildings. He will officially take office Aug. 18.
Toth last month was named to the superintendent position along with former St. Marys Area High School Principal Josh Williams being promoted to assistant superintendent.
Over the past 11 years, Toth was superintendent of the Bellwood-Antis School District in Blair County. He has been working in the education field for 31 years.
"To me it was time for that next professional growth learning experience," Toth said of accepting the new position. "I'm not one to sit around and let the grass grow under my feet. We are willing to learn and grow and I'm willing to do so in a quality school district."
