Toy challenge kicks off Project Gifts

Various community organizations recently collaborated in a toy challenge to collect Christmas presents for Project Gifts for Elk County.
The main sponsors of the challenge were American Legion Post 511 in Dagus Mines and the Vietnam Veterans of America Bucktail Chapter 720. Other groups participating in the challenge were Fox Twp. Firemen's Auxiliary, Weedville American Legion Post 978, Horton/Brockway Area Lioness Club, Horton/Brockway Area Lions Club, St. Marys American Legion Post 103, Fox Twp. Lioness Club, Fox Twp. Lions Club, Fox Twp. Volunteer Fire Department, Elk County American Legion, Sons of the American Legion 511, DLS Recovery, Ridgway VFW, and Brockport Army and Navy Club. These groups collected and purchased toys with a total value of $3,500, according to Elk County Project Gifts for Kids President Bob Roberts
