Tuesday marks beginning of County Fair

Photo by Joseph Bell - The Elk County Fair is scheduled to begin today at 4 p.m. The carnival rides will be running today at 4 p.m. and opening ceremonies will take place at 6 p.m. at the George A. Swanson Memorial Stage. The crowning of the Fair Queen, Junior Fair Queen, and Princess will take place shortly thereafter on the stage, followed by the baked goods auction for first-, second-, and third-place winners. Fireworks are scheduled to go off at dusk.
