Two accidents on Million Dollar Highway Friday afternoon

Two traffic accidents occurred within a half-hour of each other on the Million Dollar Highway in St. Marys Friday afternoon. According to Elk County emergency services alerts, the Crystal Fire Department and the St. Marys Area Ambulance service were called to the scene of the first accident, near the intersection of 802 S. St. Marys St. and Random/Kallas roads, at approximately 3:55 p.m.
Fire and ambulance personnel were then called to the scene of the second accident, shown above, which occurred near the Earth Road intersection by Decker's Chapel, at approximately 4:26 p.m.
St. Marys City Police also responded and the CFD Fire Police were on the scene directing traffic, which was backed up on both sides of the highway as fire police helped motorists navigate around the scene and through the construction currently taking place.
