Vaughn C. Erich

Vaughn C. Erich, 63, of 601 Brandycamp Road, Kersey, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Elk Regional Health Center.
He was born Jan. 1, 1949 in St. Marys, a son of the late LeRoy "Curley" and Helen "Honey" Geitner Erich.
Vaughn was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from SMAHS, class of 1968. He had been employed at SGL Carbon for more than 40 years. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and riding his 4-wheeler. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by three sisters, Phyllis, Mrs. Richard Shields of Kane, Sandy, Mrs. Thomas Timblin of Brevard, N.C., and Dee Erich of Penfield; two brothers, Harold "Buddy" Erich and his wife Carol of Weedville, and Scott Erich and his wife Therese of Syracuse, N.Y. ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Gayle Costanzo.
Funeral services for Vaughn C. Erich will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 North Michael St., St. Marys, on Saturday, July 14, 2012  at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Luther Nelson officiating.
Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home this evening from 5-8 p.m.
