Vera Elizabeth Knoff

Vera Elizabeth Knoff, 91, of Oak Street, Force, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012 at her home.
She was born April 20, 1921 in Force, the daughter of the late Charles and Bada (Cameroni) Angelo. On July 24, 1948, she married Richard Curtis “Riddy” Knoff, who predeceased her on Nov. 1, 2005.
She lived all her life in Force. She was a graduate of Jay Twp. High School and worked at Sylvania in Emporium from 1939 to 1944 and with the Shawmut Mining Company as a Clerk in the late 1940s. She also worked as a clerk with the U.S. Post Office for 31 years until her retirement in 1981.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, where the apple pies she baked were a crowd favorite.  She enjoyed long rides in the country to observe wildlife and spending time with her family.
She is survived by three sons, Richard C. Knoff of St. Louis, Mo., Curtis J. Knoff of Force, and Raymond G. Knoff of Pocatello, Idaho; two grandchildren, Julie and Melody; and a sister, Edith Palumbo of St. Marys.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was deceased by a brother, George Angelo.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Vera Elizabeth Knoff will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, with Father Thomas Tyler officiating. Interment will be held at St. Joseph Church Cemetery.
There will be no public visitation.
The family suggests memorials to the St. Joseph Church Cemetery.
