Verizon working to determine, fix cell phone issues

Over the past few days, a number of area Verizon Wireless customers have reported experiencing issues with their cellphones temporarily being unable to send or receive text messages or phone calls.
When contacted by The Daily Press on Friday afternoon, Laura Merritt, Verizon Wireless' public relations manager for the Ohio/Pennsylvania/West Virginia Region, indicated that the company is aware of the problem.
