Robert W. Hnath, 74, of 560 E. Kaul Ave., St. Marys, died Thursday at his residence.
He was born January 29, 1934, in St. Marys, son of the late Joseph and Mary Bures Hnath. He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Sacred Heart School. He was a retired employee of the Stackpole Corporation, retiring in 1996. He is survived by three daughters, Nada Hnath, Marsha Meyer, and Bobbie Jo Kronenwetter, a sister, Dorothy (Mrs. Gerald “Fuzzy”) Lenze of St. Marys, and two brothers, Joseph Hnath and his wife Irene St. Marys, Thomas Hnath and his wife Grace of St. Marys and by several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. There will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a committal service to be held in the St. Marys Cemetery Chapel on Tuesday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Eric Vogt, O.S.B., will be officiating. Full military rites will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen’s Burial Detail. The Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
