Blake E. Cheatle, 19, of 1886 Bucktail Road, St. Marys, died Tuesday afternoon, May 6, 2008, at his residence following a battle with cancer.
He was born Aug. 3, 1988, in St. Marys, son of Andrew and Lois Herzing Cheatle of St. Marys. He was a member of Queen of the World Church, enjoyed playing golf, four-wheeling and had always enjoyed swimming. Besides his parents, he is survived by a son, Jayden Michael Weir Cheatle of DuBois; a brother, Jason Cheatle of Canton, OH; a sister, Rebecca, Mrs. Brian Ritchie of Pittsburgh; niece and nephew Tyler and Alyssa Ritchie; maternal grandparents Floyd “Pinky” and Ethel “Eppie” Herzing of St. Marys, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Codi Cheatle on July 21, 1989, and his paternal grandparents, Mildred and Norman Cheatle. Mass of Christian Burial for Blake E. Cheatle will be celebrated at the Queen of the World Church, 134 Queens Road, on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Ferrick as celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 North Michael Street, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ridgway Regional House of Prayer.
