Aircraft utilizes airport to fight forest fire |

 Pictued above is the airplane that was flying back and forth from the St.Marys Area Municipal Airport to the fire between Driftwood and Emporium on State Route 120. The Airport personnel provided Jet fuel for the aircraft. The local fire department assisted in filling the aircraft with water.
The Bureau of Forestry called the Airport to make sure there was fuel availabe for a tanker aircraft on Tuesday, March 24, 2009. The pilot flew Tuesday until dusk and finished up Wednesday, March 25, 2009. The pilots name was Dave Simpson, who works for New Frontier Aviation. He is from Idaho and is based out of Denton, Montana.
