Cora W. Hoffman, 86, of 1059 Theresia St., St. Marys, died on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Pinecrest Manor, following a brief illness.
She was born Aug. 29, 1923, in Hornell, N.Y., daughter of the late Charles B. and Leah Sauter Watson Sr. On Aug. 31, 1963, in the St. Mary’s Church she married Walter C. Hoffman, who preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 1991. She was a retired employee of the Stackpole Carbon Co., with over 40 years of service. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She is survived by a brother, Charles B. Watson and his wife, Diann of St. Marys; and by nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Munroe and Florence Wise; and a brother, Jack Watson. Funeral services for Cora Hoffman will be held at the United Methodist Church on Friday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Chris Kindle officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Center Street, this evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Memorials if desired, may be made to the United Methodist Church, 140 North St. Marys St., St. Marys, PA 15857, or to the Community Nurses Inc., Memorial Fund, 757 Johnsonburg Road, Suite 200, St. Marys, PA 15857.
