Frances L. Lajeunesse

Frances L. Lajeunesse, 91, of 1251 Rural Ave, Williamsport, died on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the Williamsport Hospital.  

She and her husband, Raymond J. Lajeunesse, celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on February 14.

She was born November 29, 1918 in Schenectady, NY, and was the daughter of Ralph and Mary Elizabeth ("Mamie") Wolcott Bigonesse.  

Frances was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School in Schenectady, NY.  She was a homemaker. Frances was a member of the Church of St. Ann and was also active in the St. Ann’s Women’s Guild.  She was a past president of the Andrew M. Kaul Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the Women’s Club of St. Marys.

Surviving in addition to her husband is one son, Raymond J. (Jade C. West) Lajeunesse, Jr., of Arlington, VA; two daughters, Pamela L. (David) Shipman of Williamsport, Nancy (William) Zeitz, of Merrill, WI; 11 grandchildren, Douglas Zeitz (Karen), Stephanie Zeitz, Joseph Zeitz, Emily Condensa (Mike), Mary Hanicker (Mark), Julie Moonen (Dan), Nora Moonen (Gerard), Theresa Leitermann (Joseph), Gerard Zeitz, Jeannine Fisher (Aaron), Michael Shipman; and 35 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Frances L. Lajeunesse will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Church of St. Ann, 1220 Northway Rd., Williamsport, with Reverend Paul Fontanella officiating.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Family will provide flowers and suggest that memorial contributions in Frances’ name be made to St. Marys Catholic Elementary and Middle Schools, 114 Queens Road, St. Marys, PA 15857.

Arrangements are under the direction of Kaufman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc.
