Robert J. “Bob” Huff, 59, of Trout Run Rd., Benezette, died suddenly at his home on Wednesday, March 10, 2010.

He was born on March 21, 1950 in DuBois, son of Esther (Betta) Huff of Weedville, and the late Virgil Huff. On July 2, 1997, he married Lisa Gavazzi, who survives.

He was born and raised in Weedville and has been a Benezette resident the past 30 years. He was a graduate of St. Marys High School and was a graduate of a two-year Gunsmith School. He was an equipment operator for Berner Construction doing reclamation work, owner of Bob Huff Creation store in Benezette where he sold his own antler and wood carvings from which he won many awards for his art. He was a member of the Benezette United Methodist Church. He was a Pa. State Elk Hunting Guide in the Benezette area since the recent State Elk Hunt began and enjoyed hunting, especially his out-of-state Big Game Hunts.

Besides his mother and wife, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. James (Virginia) McClellan of Benezette, and Bonnie O’Donnell of Weedville.

Funeral services for Robert Huff will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Benezette United Methodist Church with Pastor Tim Rogers officiating.

The family will be receiving friends on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Benezette United Methodist Church.

The family suggest memorials to the American Heart Association or to the Benezette United Methodist Church.
