James M. Schloder Jr., 65, of 119 Wilson Road, St. Marys, died Wednesday evening, March 10, 2010, at the Elk Regional Health Center after a lengthy illness. 

He was born Feb. 6, 1945, in St. Marys, son of the late James M. and Jane E. Fox Schloder, Sr. On Feb. 14, 1994, in St. Marys, he married Faith Sherry, who survives.

He was a graduate of Elk County Catholic High School Class of 1963 and was a retired employee of Powdered Metal Products. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Church, enjoyed bowling, golf and traveling and was a former member of the St. Marys Country Club.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a stepdaughter, Shannon O’Donnell at home; a stepson, Scott O’Donnell of St. Marys; two grandchildren, Jessica O’Donnell and Melissa O’Donnell; a sister, Jody Garbic and her husband, Peter, of Green Valley, Ariz.; a daughter-in-law, Doris O’Donnell of Kersey; and a nephew, Jason Garbic of Rockville, Md.

He was preceded in death by a stepson, Sean O’Donnell and by a nephew, Peter James Garbic.

Funeral and Committal Services for James M. Schloder Jr. will be held at the convenience of the family.

There will be no visitation.

The Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
