Isabelle M. "Belle" Haberberger

Isabelle M. "Belle" Haberberger, 90, of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of Silver Creek Terrace and 162 Wehler Road, died Wednesday afternoon, March 10, 2010 at Pinecrest Manor following a brief illness.

She was born April 21, 1919 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Ambrose and Susan Auman Fledderman.

On March 26, 1948, she married the late Bernard R. Haberberger, who preceded her in death on June 7, 1964.

She was a member of Queen of the World Church and the Rosary Altar Society. She served in the U.S. Army during WWII. She retired from Stackpole Carbon after many years of service. She enjoyed shopping, crocheting and playing cards. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Connie, Mrs. Bob Miller of St. Marys, and a son, Charles Haberberger and his wife, Beth of St. Marys; five grandchildren, Christine Haberberger, Michelle "Sis", Mrs. Scott Eckert, Scott Haberberger, Danielle, Mrs. Tom Fledderman, Amy, Mrs. Fadi Medawar, five great grandchildren, Hannah, Lauren, Nathaniel, Ellie and Tessa; two brothers, Art Fledderman of St. Marys, and Ronald "Bumpy" Fledderman and his wife, Rose of Corpus Christi, TX; three sisters, Grace Stump of Johnsonburg, Mary Zelehoski of St. Marys, and Jean, Mrs. Ron Stanish of Florida; and by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Dick, Jackie and Joseph Fledderman and a sister, Ethel Fledderman.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Isabelle M. “Belle” Haberberger will be celebrated at the Queen Of The World Church, 134 Queens Road, on Saturday, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Michael Ferrick, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Military Funeral rites will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen’s Detail.

Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, N. Michael Street, on Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Queen of the World Church, 134 Queens Road, St. Marys, PA 15857 or to Silver Creek Terrace, 791 Johnsonburg Road, St. Marys, PA 15857.
