She was born on May 11, 1925, in Ridgway, daughter of the late Reynold and Leona Johnson.

On June 19, 1948, she married Elwood Krise, who preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 1994.

She graduated from the Johnsonburg High School, was employed at Stackpole Carbon of Johnsonburg and St. Marys for many years and at Constables of Johnsonburg from 1985 to 2007. She was a Lutheran by faith and lived most of her life in Johnsonburg.

She is survived by eight children, Jerry Krise of Ridgway, David Krise of Wilcox, Bonnie Gasbarre of Mechanicsburg, Donald Krise of Mt. Jewett, Amy Feldbauer of St. Marys, Tim Krise of Phoenix, AZ, Lisa Krise of Franklin, Jody Batista of Kane; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, George Johnson of Johnsonburg, and Donald Johnson of Ridgway; and a sister, Ellen Pistner of St. Marys.

Funeral services for Arvilla M. Krise will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Ubel Funeral Home, 111 Bridge St., Johnsonburg, with Rev. Stephen Fair officiating. Burial will follow in the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Johnsonburg.

Visitation will be on Monday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Ubel Funeral Home, Johnsonburg.
