Arevik Dippold, formerly of Ridgway, died March 13, 2010, at Huntingdon Hospital in Pasadena, Cal., after a lengthy illness.
She was born on May 26, 1970, in Yerevan, Armenia, daughter of Garush and Nina Sukiasyan, who survive. She resided with her family in Glendale, Calif., since 2005. She attended universities in Armenia, where she obtained degrees in Child Psychology and Accounting. She worked for several years as an accountant. Most recently she dedicated her life to caring for her son, Gregory Jr., who survives. She was an accomplished pianist and athlete and was fluent in the English, Armenian and Russian languages. Besides her parents and son, she is survived by a sister, Meri Ponist and her husband, David of New York, a nephew, Feliks and a niece, Flora, an ex-husband, Greg of Calif.; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles in Armenia, Russian and Georgia. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
