Vincent M. Leviski, 78, of 115 Beech Road, St. Marys, died unexpectedly on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Elk Regional Health Center in St. Marys.
He was born January 11, 1933 in Force, a son of the late Sigmund and Theresa Floravit Leviski. On November 12, 1960 in Queen of the World Church, he married Joan Snyder Leviski, who survives.
He was a member of Queen of the World Church. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955 during the Korean War. He retired from Modern Dairy after more than 40 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and caring for his lawn. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of 51 years, he is survived by a son, David Leviski and his wife Diane of Ellicott City, Md.; two daughters, Amy, Mrs. Rick Hoyt of Johnsonburg and Stacey Iorï¬da and her companion Dave Pisani of Johnsonburg; six grandchildren, Laura and Michael Leviski, Miranda and Ryan Hoyt , Zach Iorï¬da and Edward Pisani; a brother, Eugene Leviski and his wife Joyce of St. Marys; two sisters, Ilene, Mrs. Kenneth Burgeson of St. Marys and Ann Sloan of St. Marys; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James J. Leviski, who preceded him in death on Nov. 24, 2006.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Vincent M. Leviski will be celebrated at the Queen of the World Church, 134 Queens Road, St. Marys, on Monday, Nov. 28, 2011 at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Michael Ferrick, pastor, as celebrant.
A military service will be conducted by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail.Â
Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Ridgway.
Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys, on Sunday afternoon from 2-5 p.m.
