Virgil Silvio Foradori, 80, of McCracken Run Road, DuBois, PA died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 at U.P.M.C. St. Margaret Medical Center, Pittsburgh.
He was born Sept. 21, 1931, the son of the late Alexander and Frances (Coder) Foradori.
On Aug. 18, 1956, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, he married Beverly Ann Krise, who preceded him in death on April 26, 2010.
He was employed by Brockway Glass Company as a mold maker. He was supervisor of the mold shop at Brockwayâ€™s plant 17 (Danville, Va.) and plant 2 (Crenshaw).
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in Korea, and was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in DuBois, where he was involved in the annual Labor Day Polish Festival and served as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Danville, Va. He and his wife enjoyed bowling and were participants in the Sunday night mixed bowling league.
He is survived by his daughter, Sandra (David) Andrulonis of Maumee, Ohio and his son, Fr. V. David Foradori of DuBois; his granddaughter, Stephanie Andrulonis of Beaver Creek, Ohio, and his grandson, Chad Andrulonis of Dayton, Ohio; his brothers, Col. Harry (Dorris) Foradori of Cocoa Beach, Fla., Alex (Betty) Foradori of Brockport, and Robert (Carole) Foradori of Deatsville, Ala.; and his sister-in-law, Lynne Foradori of Seville, Ohio.
He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years; his parents; his sister, Mary (LeRoy) Witz; and his brother, Donald Foradori.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Virgil Silvio Foradori will be celebrated by Fr. V. David Foradori, his son, at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery, where full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
Visitation will be at the Goble Baronick Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
There will be a Scriptural Wake Service on Monday evening at 8:30 p.m. from the funeral home.
