He then sat down on the bed and handed the undercover detective $200 in cash for straight sex. Laws that regulate consensual

Laws that regulate consensual human sexuality tend to be controversial. Utah anti-prostitution legislation is no exception. Not only does the legislation make prostitution illegal, but the recent amendment to the legislation is so broadly worded that it could possibly make acting sexual illegal in itself. The lawsuit may cost an installment loan or two.

A guy, or girl for that matter, should be able to pay for sex and be left alone, no one the wiser. If he was in a brothel in the great state of Nevada, where prostitution is legal in 8 counties, he would not have been arrested and it would have not made the front page of the St. Marys paper. If he would have spent many hours and much more money, he could have picked up a girl in a bar, but he chose to save time, money, and it would have not made the front page of the paper. Leave the guy alone!
Individuals who have stated "depraved, sordid behavior"; "Well he should be embarrassed don't you think"; "First a prostitute, maybe a child next time"; and Elk County Catholic High School need to locate a Bible (not easy to find in a Catholic Church), look in the Table of Contents to locate Luke 6:37, then go to the page number and READ!

Vollmer story not about $$$ for paper

I am a member of this man's family and he deserves the humiliation he gets from this depraved, sordid behavior. His wife is a beautiful and nice schoolteacher who dedicated her life to working with handicapped students. THIS IN NO WAY HUMILIATES HER. It is front-page news because he coaches high school students at Elk County Catholic High School. Rather, coached them, as he has been fired. That, my friend, makes it front-page news.

Shame on you

What purpose did it serve to put this in the local paper other than to humiliate this mans family. Aren't they all suffering enough? Whoever permitted this to run is a bully, plain and simple. Again, shame on you.
