Walter J. Snelick Jr. , 80, of 105 Laurel Lane, Kersey, died at his home on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, surrounded by his family.
He was born Nov. 24, 1932 in Byrnedale, a son of the late Walter J. and Catherine Maday Snelick.
In addition to his wife, Alice Meyer Snelick, who survives, he is survived by four daughters, Cathy, Mrs. Ron Cuneo of St. Marys, Carol, Mrs. Greg Muhitch of St. Marys, Connie, Mrs. John Ponsoll of Edinboro, and Christina, Mrs. Neal DeSai of Illinois; and Walter Snelick III and his wife Bernadette of Dallas, Texas, Robert Snelick and his wife Donna of Maryland, William Snelick and his wife Susan of St. Marys, Steve Snelick of Kersey, and Paul Snelick and his wife Kelly of Port Matilda; 24 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Herbstritt of St. Marys and Leona Sawka of Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and 1 sister.
Relatives and friends of Walter J. Snelick Jr. are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Main Street, Kersey, on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012  at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James G. Faluszczak, pastor, as celebrant.
There will be no visitation.
