Wehler cleaning up with PA Power Washing

For area residents looking to spruce up a hard-to-clean surface outside their home, newly established PA Power Washing is set to cater to many of their needs. The business was started by St. Marys resident Ryan Wehler in May and offers power washing services for surfaces such as driveways, sidewalks, interior garages, brick pavers, sandstone, retaining walls, polywood decks, and vinyl railing and fences.
Wehler, who graduated earlier this year from Penn State University's DuBois campus with a bachelor's degree in marketing and management, explained that he plans to look for a full-time job while running PA Power Washing on the side, attending to clients' needs on nights and weekends.
"The whole way through college, it was always my dream to own my own business," Wehler said. "I'm going to look for a job, but [I want to do this] on the side."
The idea for PA Power Washing was inspired by something he saw on television.
"I actually saw it on TV and I researched it and it's pretty popular in cities. Nobody does it around here," Wehler said.
There are some surfaces that Wehler will not power wash, such as windows, roofs, and houses.
"I feel there's enough other people in the area that do houses and oven hoods that I didn't want to protrude onto their business. I want to respect their business," Wehler said.
