William McKinney

William McKinney, 65, of 1070 E. Eschbach Road, St. Marys, died on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at the DuBois Nursing Home after a brief illness.
He was born July 20, 1945, in Westville, son of the late William and Effie Wolf McKinney.
On Aug. 24, 1968, in the Brockway Methodist Church, he married Nancy E. Brown, who survives.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Brockway schools. He was a retired employee of National Fuel Gas, retiring in 2000 after 32 years of service. He was a Methodist by faith, was a former member of the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail, a veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of the American Legion and the Vietnam Veterans Association.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Umstead and her husband, Corey, of St. Marys; two sons, Patrick W. McKinney and his wife, Collette, of Ridgway, and Daniel S. McKinney of St. Marys; five grandchildren, Derek, Brady, Joshua and Gracie McKinney, and Rachel Snyder, and two step-grandchildren, Christian and Alyssa Umstead; a sister, Betty Askey of Westville; a sister-in-law, Dorothy McKinney of Kersey; and by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George McKinney.
Funeral services for William McKinney will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Center Street on Saturday at 9:30 a.m., with the Rev. Jesse Ledbetter, pastor of the AGAPE' Assembly of God, officiating. Burial will follow in the Morningside Cemetery in DuBois. Full military rites will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home this evening from 5 to 8 p.m.
