Willis T. “Willy” Gleixner

Willis T. “Willy” Gleixner, 71, of 106 Forest Rd., St. Marys, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 at the Elk Haven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
He was born May 22, 1940 in St. Marys, son of the late Alfred A. “Showy” and Frances “Pat” Meyer Gleixner.
On May 14, 1960, in the St. Mary’s Church, he married Patricia A. Schaberl, who survives.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1959. He also attended Williamsport Community College. He was a retired employee of the Keystone Carbon Co., retiring in 2002 after 42 years of service.
Mr. Gleixner was a member of the St. Mary’s Church and spent his retirement years enjoying his family, friends and the farm.
Also surviving are a daughter, Christine (Mrs. Jay) Ruberto of Fairmont, W.V.; four sons, Michael G. Gleixner and his wife Joanne of Hudson, Ohio, David Gleixner and his wife Jenny of St. Marys, Richard Gleixner and his wife Mary of St. Marys, and Steven Gleixner and his wife Mary Kay of St. Marys; a daughter-in-law, Gloria Gleixner of St. Marys; 11 grandchildren, Dan Gleixner and his fiancée Amanda, Eric Gleixner, Molly Wolfel, Alyssa Ruberto, Jeffery Gleixner, Elizabeth Gleixner, Ashley Ruberto, Rebecca Gleixner, Tori Gleixner, Danielle Wolfel and Josh Gleixner; three sisters, Phyllis Daly of DuBois, Patricia Wickett of St. Marys, and Nancy Nissel of St. Marys; and two brothers, Eugene H. Gleixner and his wife Alicia of Naples, Fla., and Wayne P. Gleixner and his wife Carol of Mt. Gretna, Pa.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bill Gleixner, who died on March 14, 1993.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Willis T. "Willy" Gleixner will be celebrated in the St. Mary’s Church on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Meinrad Lawson, OSB, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
