Margaret C. Severance

Margaret C. Severance, 91, of 101 N. Mill St., Ridgway died Sunday, May 13, 2012, at Pinecrest Manor.
She was born Nov. 28, 1920, in Sargent, the daughter of Philip and Christina Amicone Scutella.
She married Guy J. Severance, who predeceased her on July 13, 1992.
Mrs. Severance was a member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church. She had been employed at Elk County General Hospital, retiring in 1985, after 35 years of service.

Virginia Marie Draper

Virginia Marie Draper of 5441 Whispering Willow Way, Ft. Myers, Fla., died on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 in Florida following a brief illness.
She was born on Nov. 27, 1940 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and married Jay Draper in August 1962.
They had two children, Donna Mancini of St. Augustine, Fla., and Jeffrey D. Draper, who preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 2008 in Pittsburgh. She had two grandsons whom she adored.

E. Jayne Trumbull

E. Jayne Trumbull, 74, of 6265 Shawmut Rd., Ridgway, died Monday afternoon, May 14, 2012, at Elk Regional Health Center following a brief illness.
She was born June 9, 1937 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Eugene and Grace (Reinhart) Lyle.
She was married to James C. Trumbull, who preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 2003.

Dr. Jerome W. Poulliott Jr.

Dr. Jerome W. Poulliott Jr., 82, of 560 Church St., St. Marys, died on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Hamot Medical Center in Erie.
He was born Sept. 10, 1929 in Williamsport, a son of the late Jerome W. and Sarah Catherine Fague Poulliott.
On June 29, 1957 in Philadelphia, he married Kathleen Kearney Poulliott, who survives.

William A. Freeburg

William A. Freeburg, 78, of 153 Ridge Rd., Kersey, died Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home in Hollidaysburg.
He was born Jan. 3, 1934 in Toby, son of the late John and Esther Hedlund Freeburg.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Kersey High School, Class of 1952.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1956 to 1958.
He is survived by a sister, Marie Anstrom of Ridgway; and a brother, Robert Freeburg of Ridgway.

Stanley Kolby

Stanley Kolby, 74, of 3879 Rich Valley Rd, Emporium, died at Elk Regional Health Center, St. Marys, on Friday night, May 11, 2012.
He was born Dec. 27, 1937 in Renovo, a son of the late Chester and Rose Javornick Kolby.
He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was retired from Sylvania in St. Marys, where he was a truck driver for many years. Years ago he worked for PennCentral & Conrail Railroad. He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church, the K. of C. and the Miller-Raffaele Post 6221, VFW.

Rose P. Johnson

Rose P. Johnson, 100, formerly of Weedville and Norwalk, CA and most recently of Elk Towers in St. Marys, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the Elk Haven Nursing Home following a brief illness.
She was born on June 20, 1911 in Slippery Rock, daughter of the late Bernardino and Demonica Martini Palumbo.
Mrs. Johnson had been employed by Sylvania Radio Tube Plant in Emporium, the Prudential Insurance Co. and retired from Boeing Co.

Josephine K. Sorge, 94, formerly of 101 North Mill St., Ridgway, died Wednesday afternoon, May 9, 2012, at Pinecrest Manor, where she had been a resident for the past three months.

William J. Clever

William J. Clever, 93, of Sena-Kean Manor in Smethport and formerly of Elco Glen in St. Marys, died on Saturday, May 5, 2012.
He was born Aug. 11, 1918 in Apollo, Pa., a son of the late Joseph and Hannah Fryar Clever.
He was married to the late Irene Painter Clever, who preceded him in death in 1981.

Wm. James (Jim) Zwald

Wm. James (Jim) Zwald, 73, of 143 Larch Rd., St. Marys, died Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Elk Regional Health Center following a brief illness.
He was born March 19, 1939 in Olean, N.Y., son of the late Clarence and Nina Dandois Zwald. He was a resident of St. Marys since 1960.
On June 18, 1960, in the Sacred Heart Church, he married Sandra B. Salter, who survives.
