Jacqueline Turner, 74, of 3986 Tonbridge Lane, Winston-Salem, N.C. died on Monday, Sept. 30 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home following a lengthy illness.
She was born May 12, 1937 in St. Marys, the daughter of the late E. J. "Jack" and Loretta Benninger Terry. She graduated from Central Catholic High School class of 1957.
On Dec. 10, 1983 in Ridgway she married William Turner who survives.
She retired from the Wachovia Bank in Winston-Salem as an executive assistant. She enjoyed working with stained glass, ceramics and making floral arrangements. She loved animals and was a life long supporter of the Humane Society.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister, Rosalyn "Rosie" Schneider; a niece, Tracy McCarthy (Chris); and two nephews, Timothy Schneider (Mary Jo) and Andrew Schneider (Toni), and their children; two step daughters, Jennifer and Betsy and their spouses. Several cousins also survive.
There will be no visitation. Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be held at Queen of the World Church on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Richard Allen as celebrant. Interment will be at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery
