The Curwensville Golden Tide will meet the Port Allegany Gators for the District 9 Class A football championship either this Friday or Saturday at a site and time to be announced.
Curwensville handed the Cameron County Raiders a 22-13 loss Saturday evening in the second game of a doubleheader played at Brockway.
In the first game, Port Allegany eliminated the Redbank Valley Bulldogs by a 24-17 score.
After a scoreless first quarter, Curwensville outscored the Raiders by a 15-13 margin in the second period of play.
Neither team scored in the third period, with the Golden Tide adding seven more points in the fourth quarter to win the game 22-13.
Redbank Valley took the early 7-0 lead over the Gators in the first quarter of their Saturday afternoon contest.
The Bulldogs outscored the Gators 10-7 in the second quarter to take a 17-7 lead at the half.
Port Allegany shut out the Bulldogs 17-0 in the second half to win the game 24-17. The Gators scored 10 in the third period and seven in the fourth quarter.
