The Elk County Catholic Crusaders placed two players on the 2010 Olean Times Herald Big 30 All-Star squad.
Representing the Elk County Catholic squad on the team are running back Ricky Pearsall and offensive lineman Zac Brody.
Pearsall rushed for 1,700 yards on 233 carries this season, averaging 7.3 yards per carry. He scored 24 of the 40 ECCHS touchdowns. He also had 323 yards on kickoffs and punt returns. On defense Pearsall had 50 solo tackles and eight assist for 58 total tackles.
Brody anchored the offensive line for the Crusaders. On defense Brody also had a good year as he had 68 tackles, 48 solo and 20 assists, and two sacks for -17 yards. He also recovered one fumble for the Crusaders.
Joining the two Crusaders on the squad were Johnsonburg's Joe Holmberg at offensive end and Trevor Miller at linebacker.
Cameron County High School placed three players on the Big 30 defensive squad: Andrew Fragale was named as a linebacker, Mark Schweikart as a defensive lineman and Jason Blose as a defensive back.
Other AML squads placing players on the team were: Port Allegany - Camrin Stuckey as a receiver, Seth Lowery at linebacker and Ken Kysor as the kicker; Kane - Josh Kibble as a linebacker; and Smethport - Ryan Wells as a running back.
A total of 15 of the 23 schools that currently make up the Big 30 placed players on the 2010 Big 30 All-Star Football team. This year's squad consisted of 23 seniors and eight juniors.
