Blake E. Knapp, 69, of Darrah Street, Brookville, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010 at Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born Jan. 28, 1941 in Cooksburg, son of the late Meade Knapp and Elva Sharp Knapp. He was engaged to be married to Boots Ovenshire.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator for 33 years for PennDOT. He was a member of the Brookville Presbyterian Church, a retiree from Union Treasury of Indiana/PennDOT, the treasurer of the Heath Township Sportsman Club, and a member of the FOE #983 in Brookville. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved his grandchildren. He was a CORE organ, tissue and eye donor.
He is survived by a daughter, Brenda Knapp of Kersey; a son, Thomas Knapp of DuBois; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Edward Knapp.
Funeral services for Blake E. Knapp will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. at the McKinney Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville. Officiating will be the Rev. Timothy McConville.
Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Windy Hill, Rose Township, Brookville.
Visitation will be at the McKinney Funeral Home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
