Helen A. Bilodeau, 77, of 124 David St., Kersey, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010 at the Elk Regional Health Center after a lengthy illness.
She was born April 19, 1933 in Coal Hollow, daughter of the late John and Elvira Lavella Glance.
On June 28, 1952 in the St. Boniface Church, she married Dolph L. Bilodeau, who survives.
Mrs. Bilodeau was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Kersey High School, Class of 1951. She was a retired employee of Sylvania, retiring in 1989 after 32 years of service. She was a member of the St. Boniface Church, the Fox Twp. Firemen’s Auxiliary and the Fox Twp. Senior Center.
She delivered Meals on Wheels, worked the Red Cross Blood Mobiles and volunteered at the St. Boniface School cafeteria.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Caggiano and her husband Vincent of Kersey and Germaine Borrello of Kersey; one son, John F. Bilodeau and his wife Pam of St. Marys; ten grandchildren, Brianna Caggiano, Tristany Caggiano, Braeden Caggiano, Lawrence Smith, Scott Smith, Amber Smith, Johnna Borrello, Alissa Borrello, Emma Bilodeau and Jonathan Bilodeau; two step-grandchildren, Kimberly Clements and Jennifer Lenze; and eight great-grandchildren, Francesco Smith, Brooke Smith, Brielle Smith, Sydney Smith, Lola Smith, Saige Clements, Cailin Lenze, and McKayla Nussbaum.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Anna M. Ludin. She was the last member of her immediate family.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Helen A. Bilodeau will be celebrated at the St. Boniface Church on Monday, Dec. 27 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James Faluszczak, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.
