David A. (Zeke) Defranco, 58, of 341 Grant Street, St. Marys, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011 at the Canonsburg Hospital Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born Nov. 7, 1952, in St. Marys, son of Fred and Monica Bauer Defranco, who survive.
On Nov. 16, 1973, in St. Marys, he married Cherre L. Conklin, who survives.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Elk County Christian High School, Class of 1970. He was a retired employee of Metal Powder Products of St. Marys. He enjoyed archery, fishing, hunting and camping, loved to make walking sticks, and especially enjoyed being with his family and friends.
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by two daughters, Gina Wade and her husband Ken of Pittsburgh, Anita Cilia and her husband T. J. of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, Luke Chalovich, Nathan Chalovich, Brandon Cilia and Lexi Cilia; two sisters, Chris Ortiz of Albany, NY, and Lorraine Garbic and her husband Gail of St. Marys; a brother, Anthony Defranco of St. Marys; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for David A. Defranco is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m., followed by funeral services at 5 p.m. with his father-in-law, the Rev. Loren Conklin, officiating.
