John (Jack) Edward Krieg, 64, of Indianapolis, Ind., died on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the Robert L. Roudebush VA Hospital in Indianapolis following a lengthy illness.
He was born on March 15, 1947 to Mary Lou (Shields) and the late George R. Krieg. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, attended St. Marys, Pa.-area schools, and traveled extensively across the United States, especially enjoying his time fishing in Colorado. He was Christian by faith. In addition to his mother, he is survived by three daughters and three sons, Jennifer and husband John McCarthy of Tampa, Fla., Sergeant First Class Larry and wife Joy Krieg of Fort Campbell, Ky. (currently serving in Afghanistan), Mary Krieg, Julie Krieg-Potter and husband Kurtis Potter, John Jr. and wife Rachel Krieg, and Andrew Krieg, all of Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother and four sisters, Elaine and husband Jack Smith of Davidson, N.C., Kathleen Trumbull of Bellefonte, Dan Krieg of Hanover, Susan and husband Bill Parana of Hendersonville, N.C., and Lois Krieg and husband Tony VanDivner of Kersey; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass for John (Jack) Edward Krieg will be held at Queen of the World Church in St. Marys on Saturday, June 25 at 10 a.m.
