Homer C. Wolfe Jr., age 62, Powers Avenue, Johnsonburg, died at home, Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, after a short illness.
He was born Oct. 8, 1948, in Ridgway, son of Homer C. and Helen M. (Fitch) Wolfe Sr., deceased.
He married Arlean M. (Roessler) in June of 2009, she survives in Berlin Center, Ohio.
A graduate of Johnsonburg High School, he served for three years as a Marine in Vietnam. He retired from the State Police Agency of Oklahoma state and in 2005 retired as a Sergeant from the Oklahoma Army National Guard. He worked locally as a driver for ATA for six years.
He was a member of Rolfe Sportsmen’s Club where he worked as a bartender for five years. He also was a member of the Central Hose Company, Piedmonte, Ridgway VFW and was a member of the Ridgway Honor Guard.
Born and raised in Johnsonburg, he lived in Oklahoma for 35 years until coming back to Johnsonburg in 2005.
He is survived by his wife, Arlean M. (Roessler) Wolfe of Berlin Center, Ohio; four children, Kathy L. Wolfe of Muskogee, Okla., Homer C. Wolfe III of Johnsonburg, Chris M. Wolfe of Johnsonburg, and William J. Wolfe of Ft. Gibson, Okla.; four stepchildren, Richard Roessler, Keri Robuck, Crystal Roessler, and David Roessler, all of Ohio; one brother, John T. Manno of Corry; four grandchildren; several aunts and uncles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents and one sister, Candice Wolfe.
Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011 from 9 – 11 a.m. at the Ubel Funeral Home in Johnsonburg. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011 at the Ubel Funeral Home in Johnsonburg, PA with Reverend Robert A. Johnson presiding.
Interment will be in Clermont Cemetery.
