Cynthia J. "Cindy" Wise, 59, of Ebensburg, died on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011 at Windber Hospice following a two-year battle with cancer.
She was born July 15, 1952 in Spangler, daughter of the late Clyde C. and Rose A. (Flick) Kelly.
On Nov. 24, 1978, she married D. Bruce Wise, who survives.
She had been employed at the former Laurel Bank (FNB) and in the office of Wise Trailer Sales, a business she owned with her husband.
She loved shopping, traveling, going to bingo and ticket parties, boating, camping and casino trips with "the girlfriends," but mostly she loved spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Justin (Angela Rosko) of Ebensburg and Brian (Rebecca Blososky) of Elkton, Md.; two granddaughters, Lydia Rose and Jillian Marie Wise; one sister, Naomi (Fred) Burgeson of St. Marys; two brothers, Carl "Cap" Kelly (Patty) of Altoona and Dr. Thomas Kelly (Jeanine) of Sarver; her mother-in-law, Louise Wise; a sister-in-law Nancy (Dave) Gould of Ebensburg; three nieces, Dr. Mimi Benjamin (Mike Howland) of Endicott, N.Y., Lori (Mike) Aimino of Dayton, Pa. and Leigh Ann (Doug) Long of Ebensburg; seven nephews, Ray (Carrie), Paul (Dara) and John (Shelbie) Benjamin, all of St. Marys, Andy (Andrea) Kelly of Pittsburgh, Nick (Noi) Kelly of Thailand, Jeff (Betsy) Gould of Cresson and Rick (Lori) Gould of Ebensburg; 22 great-nieces and great-nephews; and the "girlfriends," Cindy, Mid, Peg, Pam and Cindy, all of Ebensburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, C. Bruce Wise, and a brother-in-law, Ray "Tony" Benjamin.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Cynthia J. "Cindy" Wise was held on Dec. 30, 2011 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Ebensburg. Interment was at Lloyd Cemetery in Ebensburg.
A viewing was held on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011.
