Patricia A. "Pat" Feronti, 77, of 326 Powers Ave., Johnsonburg, died Friday afternoon, March 16, 2012 at Select Specialty Care Hospital in Erie following a lengthy illness.
She was born April 13, 1934 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late John and Eva Mishenko Mackoviak. In 1956, she married Keith VonArx, who preceded her in death in 1999. On May 3, 2002, she married Alfred "Bud" Feronti of Johnsonburg, who survives.
She was formerly of Wilcox and resided in Johnsonburg for 28 years. She was a 1951 graduate of Johnsonburg High School and worked at Bossler's Drug Store, Armstrong Forest and as the U.S. Postmaster in Wilcox for 20 years, retiring in 1992.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Church. Pat was a caring person, nature lover and animal lover, especially cats. She loved casino gambling and card playing.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Jill, Mrs. Eric Koski of Elmira, N.Y.; two sons, Joseph VonArx and Denise Herzing of Wilcox, and Chet VonArx of Wyoming; three stepdaughters, Dona, Mrs. Ralph Brunner of St. Marys, Beth Cherry of Reynoldsville, and Elizabeth Feronti, Esq., and her husband Todd Woddin of Youngsville; three grandchildren, Melissa VonArx, and Jack and Elliott Koski; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carolyn, Mrs. Dick Mendat of DuBois.
A funeral service for Patricia A. "Pat" Feronti will be conducted at Anthony Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 10 a.m., with the Rev. David Wilson, pastor of Holy Rosary Church, officiating. Interment will take place in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
