The 19th annual Elk County Youth Field Day is being held at the St. Marys Sportsmen’s Club on Sept. 15 for all youths, ages 10 to 14. There at least five donated prints being awarded with three of the prints pictured above. Opportunities to win are available from any committee member, as well as various places in the county.
There will be an Elk County Youth Field Day meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the St. Marys Sportsmen’s Club.
Anyone interested in helping is asked to attend.
The scheduled adult programs are exceptional this year with Bill Olson presenting “Whitetail Research in Pa.” and Kim Bonfardine (Watershed Specialist) presenting a “Monitoring Water Quality in Elk Co.,” to mention
just two of the programs for the adults.
Tom Herbstritt, who is coordinating the youth signup for this year’s Field Day, reported that 80 applications have been sent out, with 150 the maximum number of youths that will be accepted. Early signup is suggested.
This is a free event for the kids and includes hats and a T-shirt and an opportunity to receive valuable prizes at the end of the day.
