ST. MARYS - With tons of vendors, entertainment and activities for children and adults, this year’s third annual Bavarian Fall Fest is sure to be full of autumnal fun for area residents.
The festival will be held in downtown St. Marys from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. this Friday, Sept. 21; 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23.
Planning committee member Paula Weyant said this year's event has even better entertainment than the two years prior.
"[There is] something for everyone in the family-- polkas, Elvis and rock and roll, to say the least," Weyant said. "During the opening ceremonies Friday at 6 p.m., we will honor our 'Citizen of the Year.'"
Weyant said the Kidz Zone will be "stellar" this year, with games, goodies, and special guests Smokey Bear and Bubbles and Blinky the clowns on hand in the parking lot of St. Marys City Hall.
Many varieties of food will be available to please even the most finicky palate, and Weyant said the festival will be packed full of vendors who have “everything you need and lots you don’t.”
The committee could still use a few volunteers for help at the registration/information booth and in the Kidz Zone. Interested volunteers who can spare an hour or two may call Weyant at 594-2394 or fellow organizer Dolly Wehler at 781-7247.
