The St. Marys Area Lady Dutch tennis team handed the Brockway Lady Rovers a 6-3 loss Wednesday afternoon in a match played at Brockway.
The Lady Dutch, now 7-5 on the year, will close out their season this afternoon as they are scheduled to travel to Bradford for a 3:30 p.m. match.
At first singles, SMA’s Rachel Walker won 6-4, 5-7, 10-5 in a third-set tiebreaker over Brittany Johnson.
At second singles, Chelsea Facchine of the Lady Rovers beat Allison Shields 6-2, 6-2.
Jamie VanAlstine of the Lady Dutch defeated Cassie Foradori 6-0, 6-3 at third singles.
At fourth singles, Mary Rosman of the Lady Dutch won her match 6-1, 6-0 over Mackenzie Bart.
At fifth singles, Abby Carson of Brockway downed Kelly Dietz 6-2, 6-2.
At first doubles, SMA’s Allison Shields and Mary Rosman lost to Brittany Johnson and Chelsea Facchine 8-3.
Rachel Walker and Jamie VanAlstine of the Lady Dutch won their second doubles match 8-0 over Mackenzie Bart and Abby Larson.
At third doubles, Kelly Dietz and Stephanie Buerk won their match 6-4 due to darkness over Cassie Foradori and Gabby Bart.
At fourth doubles, SMA’s Chelsea Walker and Aubrey Wiesner won their match 8-1 over Kristen Mook and Rayna Barron.
“The girls played a good match today against a very improved Brockway team,” said St. Marys coach Sue Lepovetsky.
