ECC teams, SMA girls compete at 9-AA T&F Championships

The District 9 Class AA Track and Field Championships were held Friday at the Kane Area High School. Competing were the St. Marys Area Lady Dutch squad and the Elk County Catholic Lady Crusaders and Crusaders.

The Elk County Catholic Crusaders baseball team finished off the regular season with a win Friday night, defeating the Dutchmen of St. Marys Area by a score of 12-7. This came on the night in with ECC celebrated its eight seniors that were part of the team this year.

The St. Marys Area Lady Dutch softball team defeated the Elk County Catholic Lady Crusaders by an 8-3 score Friday afternoon at Benzinger Park on Senior Day for ECC.

Dutchmen claim three titles at D9 Class AAA Championship Meet

The St. Marys Area Flying Dutch track and field team earned a trio of titles at the District 9 Class AAA Track and Field Championship Meet at the Brookville Area High School on Thursday afternoon. Recording the wins for St. Marys Area were the 4x800 meter relay team of Alec Foster, Austin Frey, Clancy Wiesner, and Dalton Gennocro; the 4x400 meter relay team of Alec Foster, Josh Burns, Mitchell O'Vell, and Dalton Gennocro; and Josh Burns in the 110 meter hurdles.
