Love of art draws Kelly to career in graphic design

A love of art and an affinity for computers are two aspects of St. Marys native Chris Kelly's life that he was able to combine through a career as a commercial graphic artist.
Kelly, who now resides in Greensburg with his wife Stacey, always wanted to pursue a career as an artist and is currently employed at an advertising agency called West Media Group.
"My major responsibility is the design, development, and updating of websites, but I work on a lot of other projects as well, ranging from business cards and brochures to newsletters and books," Kelly said.

Jeselnick never at a loss for something to do

Now a researcher at a recruiting company, Pittsburgh resident Mark Jeselnick has always had a strong work ethic, as evidenced by the many jobs he has had from a young age growing up in St. Marys.
"My first job was working in my grandfather’s greenhouse after graduating the eighth grade," Jeselnick said. "This was how I was able to afford paying for my high school education at Elk Catholic. I remember my grandfather instructing me one day, 'Mark, when you own the company, you get to make the decisions.' This is so true. Thankfully, I learned this lesson early in my life."

Dippold speaks sports as radio talk show host

Jeff Dippold of St. Marys, or Jeff Aaron "The Fish" as he is known to fans of his Seattle, Washington-area sports talk radio show, first took to the airwaves over 30 years ago. In that time, Dippold has hosted and co-hosted shows in stations across the country and says he has interviewed nearly every star athlete in recent history.

Army Maj. Sharrow serves nation as biochemist

As a biochemist in the United States Army, St. Marys native Maj. Keith Sharrow enjoys working on diverse projects.
"The aspect of my career that I enjoy the most is that I have the opportunity to do a variety of different jobs," Sharrow said. "In the past eight years, I have conducted head trauma research at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, run a field-mobile chemical analysis lab, and run two different sections within the largest environmental analysis laboratory within the U.S. Army. I have been able to do all these different jobs while progressing in my career.

Mosier educating Moldova through Peace Corps

Cassandra Mosier, Kersey native, enlisted as a volunteer in the U.S. Peace Corps and currently lives and teaches in Edinet, Moldova. Moldova is located between Ukraine and Romania.
"Even on the toughest days, I'm glad I'm here. I'm glad I'm working hard to help with situations few have had the nerve to address," Mosier said.
The 24-year-old Mosier left the U.S. on Jun. 6, 2011, to embark on a 27-month adventure. She said her passion lies in teaching, which she has taken to new horizons, quite literally.

Anthropologist Herman Pontzer definitely a ‘people person’

Kersey native Herman Pontzer, now living in Brooklyn, N.Y., helps students explore the human family tree as a professor of anthropology at Hunter College, City University of New York, in New York City. He uses many disciplines and skills in his career, and his work has taken him around the world.
