Flutterbye able to extend grief camp for children another day

Flutterbye is a support program created by the Community Nurses, Inc., to help children cope with the loss of a loved one. The program reaches out to grades kindergarten through 12th grade. The support program meets monthly for meetings and yearly for a day camp. Because of a grant awarded by Women Who Care, the program will be extended to a two-day camp in the summer of 2012. “The Women Who Care awarded us a $2,500 grant to extend our camp to two days,” said Joanne Straub, social worker and bereavement coordinator for Community Nurses, Inc. Home Health and Hospice. “Now with two days, we will be able to do more problem solving.”
